Note this is a video recording of an online meeting conducted using the Zoom.us platform. Inevitably such recordings suffer a little in terms of their production values because of the internet connectivity and quality of webcams. Despite that, they allow us to provide additional valuable insights in to the MedComms business and we can involve a wider range of speakers who can participate from the comfort of their own desks, wherever in the world they are.

In this webinar, we’re joined by Carole Scrafton who is Director and Co-Founder of Patient Advocacy Organisation and Online community support network, FibroFlutter, for people affected by chronic illnesses and rare disease. The aim of the organisation is to advocate for a multidisciplinary approach to all aspects of medical healthcare. It supports and encourages all industry stakeholders to engage, innovate and develop at multi-stakeholder levels. Carole’s work also involves promoting patient engagement best practices and the need for patients to be included within research from the early development preclinical phase. Carole is a patient expert by experience with MSK related illnesses including chronic pain, Ehlers Danlos syndrome and fibromyalgia. This is a wide-ranging conversation. And we answer questions from the audience.

It should be of interest to anyone who is working in and around MedComms, or who is wanting to join the business.
