Note this is a video recording of an online meeting conducted using the Zoom.us platform. Inevitably such recordings suffer a little in terms of their production values because of the internet connectivity and quality of webcams. Despite that, they allow us to provide additional valuable insights in to the MedComms business and we can involve a wider range of speakers who can participate from the comfort of their own desks, wherever in the world they are.
With an ever-increasing drive towards patient centricity in healthcare, many of us will have the opportunity to be involved in direct patient engagement or education at some point in our careers. Writing for patients can be rewarding because we can see how our work enables people to become more informed and active participants in their healthcare and can improve outcomes. We use different skills when writing for patients versus writing for healthcare professionals and other audiences, and different rules, best practices and regulations apply. In this webinar we join Medical Communications and Patient Recruitment team members from IQVIA to discuss life writing for lay audiences. From supporting clinical trial participants within a clinical research environment to supporting patients in managing their medications and conditions, we consider what is needed to do this effectively. On our panel today we have Joanne Barwell, Hannah Birkett, Sue Harris and Rebecca Thurston. And we answer questions from the audience
It should be of interest to anyone who is working in and around MedComms, or who is wanting to join the business.
Recorded 08 June 2022 as a MedComms Networking webinar. Produced by NetworkPharma.tv
