Note this is a video recording of an online meeting conducted using the Zoom.us platform. Inevitably such recordings suffer a little in terms of their production values because of the internet connectivity and quality of webcams. Despite that, they allow us to provide additional valuable insights in to the MedComms business and we can involve a wider range of speakers who can participate from the comfort of their own desks, wherever in the world they are.
This panel discussion was one of five sessions which comprised the MedComms Forum, Disrupted events: what’s happening in #MedComms practice?. The panellists are Trishna Bharadia (Patient Advocate), Tessa Richards (BMJ Publishing Group), Richard Stephens (Patient Advocate) and Steven Walker (Founder of The European Health Innovation Collaborative (EuHIC) and Director, St Gilesmedical). Over recent years, much effort has centred on inviting the patient voice into the discussions at medical and industry events. Could the dramatic shift towards a focus on virtual events herald a significant opportunity for more patients to get involved in more of those discussions, directly from home? And we answer questions from the audience.
It should be of interest to anyone who is working in or around MedComms.
Recorded 15 July 2020 as a MedComms Networking webinar. Produced by NetworkPharma.tv
