ABSTRACT:
For many years, the pharmaceutical industry has been using Zinc content management software to streamline its compliance management and reduce regulatory risk in the process of approval and sign-off of marketing, education and communication materials. Veeva Systems Inc. acquired Zinc in September 2015 and is at a tipping point in the process of migrating its Zinc MAPS customers to Vault PromoMats: 50% of its Zinc customers have now migrated or have confirmed plans to do so.
Veeva supplies the entire range of life sciences industry with its cloud systems for clinical trials through to regulatory services, quality and manufacturing, medical affairs, field force, and marketing and sales divisions. Vault PromoMats and Vault MedComms are the two products that will most impact the medical communications sector. They are being configured using the language of the Zinc platform to help ease the transition – but nevertheless represent a considerable transformation that will – among other things – streamline the audit trail, increase the robustness of the approval process and include anchoring for references to enable easier and more accurate re-use. The net effect should be to increase the global visibility of content approval and distribution and enhance the throughput of fully referenced materials from pharma HQ to the regions.
With over 5000 agency users, buy-in from agencies is key to PromoMats’ successful rollout, and Veeva is offering a suite of training and support packages to ease the process, including an agency certification programme.
