ABSTRACT:
Darwin is part of the greyhealth group, which in turn is part of the WPP network of agencies. Their London office includes Darwin, the ghg London advertising team, WG Access, who specialise in healthcare market access, and PR experts, the GCI group. This breadth of resource allows Darwin to handpick individuals from these and other sister agencies, such as those with digital expertise or local market knowledge, to build teams that are matched to client needs.
Many opportunities exist for medical communications throughout the lifecycle of drugs. Darwin focus their efforts on publication planning, key opinion leader (KOL) engagement and management, scientific events, such as satellite symposia, medical education, internal communications and competitor monitoring. Medical education is a broad umbrella, encompassing publications, communication strategy, internal training and promotional and non-promotional education, all taking place within a complex, fast-paced environment. In a typical 12-month cycle, Darwin will facilitate more than 40 advisory board meetings and more than 10 symposia and standalone events, working with over 150 speakers on as many as 250 presentations. Whether part of their client services or scientific services teams, individual employees need the ability to deliver what clients want, on time and on budget. In return Darwin offer considerable opportunities for training with external experts, and training and mentoring with experienced staff, tailored to individual personal objectives, together with an inclusive and nurturing work environment in which everyone is encouraged to offer input.
